What is a WMS Service?

The Web Map Service (WMS) returns an image with geographic information.

What is a WFS Service?

The Web Feature Service Interface Standard (WFS) provides an interface allowing requests for geographical features.

What is a CSW Service?

Catalog Service for the Web (CSW or sometimes seen as Catalog Service - Web) is a standard for exposing a catalogue of geospatial records on the Internet (via web).


How do I use the services?

To use any of these services you need to connect to our servers using any software which supports the WMS/WFS/CSW protocols. (eg QGis)

Here are some examples showing the operations available in the download service:

     GetCapabilities operation that provides information about the service characteristics (metadata).
     GetMap operation that provides results in an image.
     GetFeatureInfo operation that allows the client to the server to request specific information about some entities represented on the map.
